Here is a feedback about the Intel Hacknight we had this weekend! Thanks to all of you that took part into the Hacknigt, thanks to the team of Werk1 that hosted the event and a HUGE big UP to our jury Kristina, Eric Krzeslo, Filip Visnjic, Xavier Hallade and Slobodan Illic. If it’s not already done, you can propose your ideas on the Intel Perceptual Computing Challenge, let’s now see who are the Hacknight winners!
The best app is Sign in, developed by Birgit Plötzeneder who win 2,500€ – this app allows people to log in severals app on desktop, internet,… the idea is to provide a very simple, safe and a very quick way to log in.
The most innovative app is the Parroteer, developed by Martin Förtsch & Thomas Endres who win 1,000€ – this app is a virtual flight controller with which you can control an AR Drone with your hands using the perceptual computing camera.
The best user experience app is Thumbrate, developed by Julian Schmidl & Markus Gschwendtner who win 1,000€ – this app recognize the thumbs gesture and allows people to rate or to evaluate without touching anything.
Two teams were also congratulated as the jury’s favorite and went back with an Intel Ultrabook : Finger Yoda by Vladimir Mitrovic & Perceptual Windows Manager by Thomas Schöps & Mark. Then, all the teams were gifted their perceptual computing camera
I definitely advise you to have a look to the intermediary presentation with some demos here. I am now preparing the Hacknight in Paris happening this weekend, let’s see how is it going there!
Thanks again to all and see you soon.
