Our first Intel Ultracode in Munich took place at coworkingmunich and was a great success! thanks to coworkingmunich for hosting our event which included 52 attendees and several cool speakers both from Intel and our Ultracode Munich community itself.
Despite our initial desire to hold the meet up in german, the meet up took place in english due to our lovely international crowd of participants.
BeMyApp’s own Alex Sutre introduced the meetup by telling the crowd a little about BeMyApp and our organisation of tech/developer events throughout Europe and the US. He then welcomed Monika Lischke, Team Lead Community Management for Intel’s Developer Zone, who explained a little about all the new products being developed at Intel as well as Intel Developer Zone itself and specifically perceptual computing. The evening was then turned over to Sulamita Garcia who gave a talk on UX design in the context of Perceptual Computing.
Next, Tore Meyer, from 4tiitoo spoke about the companies exciting eye tracking solution that is garnering lots of attention as of late, making their project the largest german kickstarter campaign thus far!
Following this talk we had a break with pizza and drinks and everyone mingled, played around with Ultrabooks and tablets, tested out 4tiitoo’s demo and began playing our perceptual computing challenge for the chance to win an Intel SSD.
Plans are in the works to organise further events! Those who would like to present their projects in the future (htmlt5/js, C/C#, android or windows) please sign up on the meetup page and get in touch!
